Novel MS treatment appears safe, beneficial in early study

European researchers say that a skin patch containing myelin peptides – a target of the immune attack in MS – resulted in significant reductions in disease activity in people with relapsing-remitting MS, compared to an inactive placebo patch.

Research Image Genetic differences pinpointed

U.S. researchers have identified genetic differences between African-Americans and Northern Europeans with MS in the largest genetic study of people with MS of non-European ancestry to date, screening for known gene variants in more than 1,000 African-Americans with MS.
