FY17 TXH Bike MS BP MS 150 Finish
Neither the wind nor the hills could stop you! We are stronger than MS and together we are changing the world for people affected by MS.

Approximately 9,000 cyclists persevered and braved the heat, wind, rain and even some hail to triumphantly cross the finish line in the shadows of the State Capitol in Austin.

To all the riders, team captains, sponsors, donors, volunteers, city and county officials, emergency responders, families, friends, fiddlers, bubble makers, cow bell ringers, bagpipe players, cookie makers and roadside cheerers—thank you! Ending multiple sclerosis for good will take all of us.
Fundraising Deadline is July 31
Help us reach our goal of raising $16 million! You have until Monday, July 31 to get those donations turned in—don’t stop now.

Share your ride experience and finish line photos with your donors. Send thank you notes and reminders. If you need help, our representatives are available to help answer your toughest fundraising questions such as: how to fundraise with Facebook, how to upload a photo of you at the ride, how to increase your fundraising goal, how to create a personalized URL, how to ask your friends to make a donation, or where to send your donations. Just give us a call at 855-372-1331 or send us an email at FundraisingSupport@nmss.org.

Rider Spotlight: Jesse Gavin
Team Captain, Baylor College of Medicine
FY17 TXH Bike MS BP MS 150 JesseJesse Gavin rode Little Blue (an Ambush FS20 bike that only cost him $50) on this year’s BP MS 150. He is 6-foot-3 so his main concern was his knees and lower back. Many encouraged him not to ride such a small bike, but he figured he could deal with the temporary pain.

Jesse shares, "I wanted to do this for a couple of reasons. The first being that people living with MS do not get to pick when they have symptoms or cannot just 'buy a better bike.' They have to make the best of their situation and power through. The second being that when I tried getting people to sign up for this event I heard a lot of responses about not having a bike or they were too expensive or, 'maybe next year when I am more in shape.' I wanted to show people that you can do anything you put your mind to and that even under conditions that are not ideal you can still be healthy and get the job done."

Jesse’s story will inspire donors to help their team reach their goal of $100,000.
