First oral Ms treatment on the way

Committee recommends FDA approve fingolimod

At a historic meeting on June 10, an FDA review committee recommended approval of the first oral MS disease-modifying therapy. The FDA is expected to make its final decision on or before September 21. This process will be closely watched as fingolimod would be the first drug in capsule form to control MS. It does not require injections.
