In 2010, ACTRIMS presented awards to two young researchers, for Best Platform Presentation and Best Poster Presentation.
Poster and platform presentations were evaluated by members of the program committee and were graded on basic quality of the research, oral presentation/discussion skills, and presentation format. One of the seven platform presenters and 29 of the 61 poster presenters identified themselves as young researchers.
The $1,250 awards were announced by ACTRIMS president Dr. Jerry Wolinsky at the close of the 15th annual ACTRIMS meeting, held June 5th at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. ACTRIMS additionally provided $250 travel awards to 12 young researchers.
