The National MS Society, Greater Illinois Chapter has teamed up with Training Peaks and CARA, the Chicago Area Runners Association, to help you prepare for the fitness challenge that you have bravely accepted.

Training is a journey in itself and is essential to any successful endurance event. Training will help you to prepare mentally and physically.
We are pleased to introduce you to Training Peaks, the official training software of the MS Society! Training Peaks is an interactive, web-based training log and food diary designed to help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. Subscription to the basic edition is FREE for MS event participants. We hope you’ll find Training Peaks to be a great benefit to you as you prepare for your event.
The Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding, motivating, supporting and celebrating the running community of Chicagoland. CARA connects runners to resources that enable them to run—farther, faster, better, for life.
More than an advocacy group, however, CARA has created training programs that consistently see larger number of participants each year, from novices to experts. Through CARA, friendships are formed, running partnerships are born and the life-long gift of running is given.
Race to Stop MS participants receive free membership and trainint with CARA's popular Summer 2013 Marathon Training program. It's an 18-week program designed by Runner’s World Contributing Editor Hal Higdon to prepare you to successfully and safely cross the finish line.
