Governance

A Steering Committee consisting of established clinicians and researchers from Canada and the US serve in a voluntary capacity to provide direction for ACTRIMS activities. Also on the Steering Committee are representatives from the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. To date, members of the Committee have graciously served an indefinite term, as have the past and present Chairs of the Steering Committee. The ACTRIMS Steering Committee meets annually, following the ACTRIMS scientific program.

A Program Planning Committee, selected annually from members of the Steering Committee, is responsible for the details of the yearly program, determining topics, identifying and inviting speakers, and reviewing abstracts submitted for posters and platform presentations for the day-long program.

Presently, ACTRIMS is not a membership organization. However, experienced MS researchers and clinicians in Canada and the US who are interested in serving on the Steering Committee are invited to write to ACTRIMS@nmss.org.

Organization and support for ACTRIMS meetings is provided by the National MS Society in collaboration with the MS Society of Canada.
