History of Our Special Team
In 2007, my wife, Julie - age 36, and I attended "Discovery Weekend", a program for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis and their caregivers, in Ocean City, Maryland. After 11 years, Julie's condition had suddenly worsened and she was having trouble walking. During the workshop weekend, we met the employees of the Maryland Chapter and witnessed their care, concern, and energy to help those like my wife who are afflicted with MS. These employees are work hard, play hard people. We decided to help those employees and others who are giving 110% to help us fight this disease.
In 2008, we formed FEET 2 BEAT MS, a Walk MS team based in Maryland. FEET 2 BEAT MS became the largest Maryland based team with 288 team members, including 7 team members that have MS. Our team members walked in four states and raised over $29,000. Our team was recognized as "Rookie Team of the Year" for the Maryland Chapter.
We will continue to make history...
For 2009, FEET 2 BEAT MS will become a National Team, representing Family & Friends across the USA who want to:
