Sarah, age 37, was diagnosed with MS in 2000. In 2001 she met her husband Geordie. Sarah is currently a stay-at-home mother to her two young daughters ages two and one. Before becoming a mother, Sarah worked for various non-profit organizations in the Washington, DC area including The American Medical Association, The Society for Women's Health Research, and Partnership for Prevention. She was also the lead singer and guitarist for Fear of Commitment, a DC-based band which released its first and last album, Paper Dolls and Paper Plates in 2000.
She holds a masters degree in public health from the George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in biology from Middlebury College. Sarah and her family currently reside in Northern Virginia.
