The MuckFest MS Experience
When you arrive at MuckFest MS and you hear the pumping music and get your first glimpse of those incredible steel obstacles, you know you’re in for a one-of-a-kind experience. MuckFest MS delivers the most thrills, spills and laughs per square foot than any other mud and obstacle fun-run out there. You’ll get your bib and timing chip in short order, which gives you time to check out the MuckFestival Area where you and your crew can kick back with beer and lunch after running the course.
“I had so much fun. Ready to do it all over again.”--Andrea C., Jacksonville Mucker
Before you line up, take a "before" photo so you can compare it to your mucky "after" photo. At the start line, wish your fellow muckers, “Good Muck,” and look ahead to your first few obstacles. There’s the cantilevered craziness of the The Spinner, the cliff-hanger we call Oh Crap, and the pole-sliding thrill called – what else – Fun to be a Fireman. The best part is we’ve set up the course so that your friends and family can watch you take on these awesome obstacles.
And don’t forget the muck. This dirty cocktail of fun is shaken, not stirred, one-part adrenaline and two parts sensory overload with a healthy shot of hilarity. You get to run, slog, swim, climb, jump, swing and slosh through the muddiest pits, craters and trenches on either side of the Mississippi. At the finish line, you’ll be greeted by your adoring fans and spectators who might not recognize you under all that caked-on mud. And don’t forget to give the little ones a chance to muck it up in the Lil’ Muckers play area, a space reserved for the next generation of muckers.
Before you hose yourself off, get your mucky "after" photo and head over to our post-run party in the MuckFestival area. It’s a tailgate with live music, great food, beer, and some not-so-clean contests that will make your Aunt Florence do a spit-take of her herbal tea. Tear off the beer and lunch tab on your bib and stake out a place to eat, drink and be mucky with your team and your friends and family. There’s plenty of great food and beer (and soda) for everyone. We’ll also have an awards presentation and a muckload of other surprises! Read our Day in the Life of a Mucker to get a minute-by-minute description of your day in the muck!
