MuckFest® MS Los Angeles 5K Mud and Fun Run

You came, you got dirty, you raised over $133,000 to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society!

It’s no secret that Los Angeles was muck-tacularly fun. So, be a bud and spread the word about the mud… and the obstacles… and all the dirty action to be had at a MuckFest MS event.

There’s no such thing as too much sharing

With MuckFest MS Los Angles, it’s definitely time to overshare using hashtag #MuckFestMS

Thanks L.A. for ending things on a high note!

We're not talking an operatic, shatter-your-champagne glass high note, although there were plenty of high-pitched squeals of mucky delight emanating from throughout the course on Saturday. No, when we say L.A. ended things on a high note, we mean how you muckers, volunteers, friends and family really brought the 2014 season to a truly muck-tacular close. Even if we had top flight screenwriters on retainer, we couldn't have scripted a better day: it was a bright, beautiful and decidedly dirty guffaw from start to finish. With blue skies and temps in the 80s, you SoCal muckers made the most of mud. We don't think we've seen so many doing the mucky rolling pin at the Starting Line. And you certainly mucked it on the longest Walk on Water obstacle of the season, including one very special mucker who completed that obstacle and the entire course through sheer grit and determination, inspiring us all. Big props to Prado Regional Park for providing such a picturesque landscape on which we could all let our imaginations run wild.

Thank You!

A special message from the Southern California & Nevada Chapter and the Pacific South Coast Chapter of the National MS Society. Thank you to all the runners, volunteers and staff who came out to run, help and support each other this weekend. All of you helped make MuckFest MS Los Angeles a great success. Every day of the year, we work hard to support people living with multiple sclerosis; after all that’s what we are here for. Remember, 100% of the funds you raise support the MS Society and the 14,000 people living with MS in the region. There is still time to support the mission behind the “muck” and help us reach our fundraising goal by making a $10 donation. Make a donation online at www.MuckFestMS.com. Every $10 raised will help us get one step closer to a world free of MS.

You Can Be a Muckety Muck

You probably noticed the signs on the course honoring the members of the Muckety Muck Club, which honors our top fundraisers. What you might not realize is that the Muckety Muck Club is something that you can qualify for after the event. And because of that, the rewards and perks of being a Muckety Muck go on all year through to the 2015 event season. So, don't stop fundraising now, not when you can still be a Muckety Muck!
