BIG AND MUDDY: JUST HOW WE LIKE IT!
Year-in, year-out Philadelphia is the BIGGEST MuckFest® MS event of the season, and this year was no exception. With over 7,300 muckers and 250 volunteers, Philadelphia put the muck in muck-tacular and gave a master class in the fine art of getting down and dirty!
We made a bargain with Mother Nature (don't ask us what we owe her) to make the course muddy, but to hold off on the thunder-boomers until after we finished up on Sunday. (By the way, thanks to our Sunday muckers, volunteers and guests who rolled with our off-site parking plan; we appreciate your flexibility.)
Pre-event rains allowed teams to immerse themselves fully in the MudZone. Honestly, you jumped in with both feet, starting with one of the muddiest and wackiest Muckin' Corrals in MuckFest MS history. And all the laughs from the slippy slapstick out on the course carried over into the MuckFestival, refreshed by Traveler Beer. Cheers and well done!
Ginormous thanks to the volunteers, who truly are rock stars every single year and brighten this event in so many ways. You once again helped make MuckFest MS Philadelphia a big, sloppy success. Thanks also to our event hosts at the Glen Mills Schools. We loved the challenging and scenic terrain, but we especially loved your mud.
Thank you for coming out and making the 2016 MuckFest MS Philadelphia such a great success. We would like to thank all the runners, volunteers and staff who came out to run, help and support each other this weekend. Every day of the year, we work hard to support people living with multiple sclerosis.
There is still time to support the mission behind the “muck” and help us reach our fundraising goal of $616,000. We've made great progress toward reaching that goal and we want to keep that momentum going until we reach our goal. Make a donation online or call us.
“Thank you for a wonderful time and for a beautiful day!”—Rose S.F., Philadelphia Mucker
