Thank you for your interest in Walk MS. We value our volunteers and could not accomplish our mission without your commitment to the movement. Every year over 500 volunteers across Colorado and Wyoming contribute their time and talent toward ending MS forever. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Walk MS events!
Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to volunteer.

Volunteer Positions
Below are some sample volunteer positions. Positions and shifts vary by location. You will be notified of your assignment before Walk Day. Shift times are available during online registration.
Set-Up Crew:
Walk MS Basecamp is the hub of all Walk MS activity and entertainment. The Set-Up Crew assists with setting up tables, chairs, banners, signage, balloons, etc.
Clean-Up Crew:
Walk MS doesn't end when the festivities are over. The Clean-Up Crew asissts staff with tearing down, sorting and loading event materials. They will take down tables, chairs, banners, signage, etc. and gather and dispose of trash and recycling.
Rest Stop Crew:
Cheer for participants as they pass by and offer water or a seat to those who need to stop for a moment.
Registration Crew:
Walk MS registration is full of action. The Registration Crew assists with collection of money and registrations on Walk MS morning. They will check in walkers, collect donations and retrieve t-shirts. This crew is also responsible for breaking down the registration station and cleaning up materials.
Cheer Crew:
Serve at one of three cheer stations along the route as well as celebrate with participants as they complete the Walk. Qualifications: A friendly face, energy and enthusiasm.
Candid Photography Crew:
Snap candid photos and specific photos from shot list on Walk Day. Must have your own camera and deliver images to the Chapter within one week.
Environmental Services Crew:
Empty trash cans and recycling receptacles throughout the event. Qualifications: Some lifting and willingness to get a little sticky.
Volunteer Check-In Crew:
Assist with checking in and directing Walk MS volunteers; answer questions about volunteer positions, hand out T-shirts and record attendance. Qualifications: Friendly! Able to trouble shoot, serve several people at once, and be knowledgeable about event and volunteer positions.
Pooches’ Place Crew:
Set up and break down dog treats, water bowls, bandannas and other giveaways, engage walkers and invite dogs into tent. Qualifications: Must love dogs!
Kid's Korner Crew:
Share MS basics and the Society's mission with children; set up and break down materials and assist children with activities and crafts. Qualifications: Must love children!
Floater Crew:
Provides flexibility and offers assistance where and when needed. Responsibilities can range from greeting a top fundraiser to picking up trash.
Team Photographer:
Snap candid and posed team pictures before and after the Walk. Qualifications: Friendly! Able to read through a shot list and take good photos, and help organize teams.
Route Signage:
Identify route signage placement plan prior to event. On event day, drive route, place signs, set up cones and roadblocks, lock/unlock gates and sweep route once Walk is over.
