How Your Fundraising Helps

Your efforts help support the many programs and services provided by the National MS Society to people living with MS in our community, as well as fund critical MS research. Learn more About the National MS Society.

Getting Started

Walk MS participants raise an average of $250, but they don’t do it alone. There are many resources to help your fundraising efforts. From basic fundraising ideas to how to use social media, we are here for you every step of the way.

Fundraising Incentive Levels

In order to receive these prizes, all fundraising money must be turned in by June 1.

Raise $100+
Receive a Walk MS T-shirt at registration

Raise $500+
Receive a MS-branded umbrella and Walk MS T-shirt OR Become an Extra-miler!

Raise $1,000+ and Join our Elite Feet Club
Receive a MS-branded umbrella, a MS-branded longsleeve pullover and a Walk MS T-shirt OR Become an Extra-miler!

Raise $5,000+
Receive all the benefits listed above, free admission to the Chapter's Annual Meeting in October, a MS-branded
duffle bag and a Mission Possible plaque OR Become an Extra-miler!

Raise $10,000+ and attend Society Leadership Conference
Those top fundraisers that raise more than $10,000 will receive an invitation to the National MS Society's Leadership Conference. The Conference is a special opportunity for top fundraisers across the country to meet, share ideas and celebrate their accomplishments. The Chapter covers airfare, hotel and event registration. Walkers also receive all the perks listed above OR Become an Extra-miler!

NEW - Team Incentive Levels:

In order to qualify and receive prizes day-of event, teams must have all money turned in by March 17.
Team captains that qualify must pick up team members' bags and $50 gift card at the event.
One copy of the framed photo will be mailed to the team captain by June 30.

Raise $3,000+
Receive a framed team photo and team members receive MS-branded drawstring bags.

Raise $5,000+
Receive a framed team photo, MS-branded drawstring bags, and a $50 gift card for a team pizza party.

Raise 10,000+
Teams that raise $10,000 or more receive all the benefits listed above, an announcement on the website and a VIP tent* at the event that includes a special team breakfast.

*10 x 10 tent includes one 8-foot table and five chairs.
