What do dietary salt, quality of life and gut bacteria have in common? They are among the newest leads being explored to move us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis. The Society is investing more than $50 million in 2014 alone to support over 380 new and ongoing studies around the world.
Results from a phase II trial of cholesterol drug Zocor suggest it may slow the rate of brain shrinkage in people with secondary-progressive MS. A phase III trial could further prove its benefits.
The Society recognizes Bike MS participants living with multiple sclerosis through a program now at all events across the country: I Ride with MS. Participants receive a free “I Ride with MS” jersey + more.
