Multiple sclerosis interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body and stops people from moving. With the help of people like you, the National MS Society addresses the challenges of each person whose life is affected by MS and helps them stay connected to the great big moving world.
We've formed a team for Bike MS: Waves to Wine Ride 2009 because we want to do something about MS, NOW! The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research than any other private organization in the world and provides much needed education, programs, and services to everyone who is affected by MS - including people living with MS, their friends and families, and the healthcare professionals who work with them.
Team MenStrual Cycles was created because our friend Michael Richards was diagnosed with MS in November of 2008. He happens to be a cyclist and have many cyclist friends so we decided to form a team. He also happens to be married to a gynecologist and has many gynecologist friends, hence the name!

Soon after the team was conceived we were joined by our friend and longtime Waves to Wine rider, Kate Aks, who also has MS and has mentored Mike and many others in living with this disease. We are riding for Mike, Kate, and all who have MS.
