A NEW YEAR AND A NEW MISSION!
2017 marks the beginning of a new direction for our team and we have changed our name from Still Kicking for Gordo to simply SKFG/JK.
Our team was originally founded to support our dear friend Gordon Eansor who passed away about 3 years ago. While we still hold Gordo in our hearts we have decided to honor two of our teamates with family members living with MS. It is a distinct honor to bring Joy Cleary and Kelly Marsh into the SKFG/JK family for the 2017 Bay to Bay MS 150. Joy is the wife of Mike Cleary and Kelly is Garrett "The Bird Man" Allen's mom. Thus, JK.
Sooooo, with all that said its time to get down to business! SKFG/JK is actively looking for teammates for the 2017 ride on October 21st and 22nd. The now infamous question must again be asked. What are you doing this October? Would you like to bike the beautiful California coastline from Irvine to San Diego; ride with a spectacular group of fun loving, fundraising bike riders; be treated like royalty by the folks at the MS Socieity and most importantly, raise money to find a cure for MS and make a difference in the lives of so many? If you answered yes to any then we have a spot for you right now. If you are an experienced cyclist or haven't been on a bike in years no worries, SKFG/JK welcomes all that want to help put an end to MS!
If cycling isn't your thing but want to be involved in this great adventure, SKFG/JK has options. You can join our support team and assist with team logistics during the weekend or you can simply make a huge donation to the team or any of our outstanding riders!
So, what will it be? Come ride with the "Best in the West", SKFG/JK!!
We are prepared to go the distance for MS. It will take advance training, preparation and ongoing commitment from hundreds of other people and thousands of cyclists all over the country. What will really put power in our pedals is your support and our commitment to those impacted by this disease. Every mile we ride brings us closer to our goal—a world free of MS.
Want to join our team?
We'd love to have you. Come ride with us and experience a ride that will change lives—including your own.
When you make a donation, you are changing the world for people affected by multiple sclerosis. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Every dollar raised matters to those affected by MS. Thank you for your support.
