Three and a half years ago my daughter, Noni, started experiencing some numbness in her foot. This numbness continued to travel through her body and it eventually ended up with my daughter getting a spinal tap. The spinal tap showed positive proteins for Multiple Sclerosis.
She started to undergo treatment and has been on this treatment for 3 years and so many other Americans suffer from this disease in which there is no cure.
My goal is a ride 200 miles, 100 on Saturday and an additional 100 miles on Sunday. I ride in the hopes to raise funds to find a cure to this horrible disease that affects so many people, one of whom is so close to my heart.
Will you show your generosity and support by placing a donation to my Team page?
Any amount can help those affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
How donations are used:
$200: Support for self-help groups for an annual stipend and materials
$350: A month of physical therapy
$500: Rent and utility assistance to help a person with MS waiting for Social Security to come through
$1,000: A mailing to healthcare professionals with information about improving the quality of life of people with MS
$2,500: A research grant supporting myelin repair and nervous system protection which will hopefully lead to a cure
$10,000: Support for the Chapter’s Loan Closet to fund ten wheelchairs, ten walkers with wheels and a variety of assisted living devices
MS stops people from moving…I’m riding to make sure it doesn’t.
Thanks in advance for your support.
All the best,
