Bike MS: Breakaway to Key Largo 2014
Welcome to My Personal Page
On September 3 of last year, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I knew very little about the disease, and the past three months have basically been a “crash course” on this serious autoimmune disease and the challenges all of us face coping with it.
Ron and I have chosen to ride ‘Bike MS’ on Saturday, March 1, 2014 to benefit the National MS Society, South Florida Chapter. We are planning to do the 50 mile ride to the Keys from the starting line at FIU’s stadium at 7:00AM. They are expecting between 1,000-1,200 riders total for this great event.
We are sponsoring a team, so please join us in the Bike MS: ‘Breakaway to Key Largo’ ride on ‘Alexandra’s Angels’ Team!
The Mastriana family will contribute $350 per rider on our ‘Alexandra’s Angels’ Team towards the National MS Society. We encourage each rider/supporter to please help us raise as much as possible for this great cause. In addition, the Mastriana family will provide each rider with a special custom made ‘Alexandra’s Angels’ Club Cycling Jersey.
Following the bike ride on March 1st, around 7:00PM, we invite all to join us at the Bike MS finish line at the ‘Key Largo Resort’, located at Mile Marker 99.7. Here, there will be a complimentary dinner and pool party, so don’t forget to bring your bathing suits!
Complimentary transportation will be provided by the National MS Society for both your return as well as your bike’s return to Fort Lauderdale either on Saturday, March 1st at 3:30PM or at 7:00PM OR on Sunday, March 2nd at 9:30AM. You can also elect to bike back to Fort Lauderdale either day.
IMPORTANT: Please register through the below link to be either a rider, virtual rider, or event volunteer for our ‘Alexandra’s Angels’ Team. We would greatly appreciate everyone’s efforts to please help us find sponsors to raise money to help the National MS Society find a cure.
We are also reserving a block of hotel rooms for our riders and attendees. Please let us know if you need a hotel room and what your shirt size is.
Please contact Alexandra, Ron, or Gina (see contact information below) to let us know if you will need any accommodations and/or if you have any questions or concerns whatsoever.

Multiple sclerosis affects millions of people, including our loved ones, families, friends and co-workers. That's why I've registered for Bike MS. Bike MS is a ride (not a race) that brings us together to make a difference and each mile we ride brings us closer to a world free of MS.
I am asking you to support me in Bike MS because this cause is meaningful to me. Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms, which range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
