MS 150!
This is Why. . . I Ride
I have accepted a challenge on behalf of the 20,000 individuals in Illinois whose lives have been touched by multiple sclerosis. From Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14, 2009, I will be joining over 2,000 cyclists and hundreds of volunteers in the Bike MS: Tour de Farms. People living with MS overcome challenges everyday: to walk, to have energy to go to the store, to have the will power not to give up. That is why it is so important to me that I support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and I need your help to turn my goal into a reality.
MS stops people from moving, we exist to make sure it doesn't. Please pledge your support today!
How You Can Make a Difference
Please make a donation to my fundraising campaign right here by clicking on the Make a Gift link, just below the thermometer. If you prefer to write a check, please contact me and I will provide my address. If you want to ride with me that weekend, just let me know. I’d love to have you join me for an awe-inspiring adventure. . . and the party, too!
Over the next few months, I plan to update this page frequently so my supporters can follow my progress, so please visit this page often. While you’re here, you may want to also visit the event website, see why the Tour de Farms is so important, learn about multiple sclerosis, and meet the people who will benefit from the money we raise.
How Your Contribution Helps
When a person is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, the changes that occur often have an impact on the entire family. Your donation will help provide programs and services to the 20,000 people in Illinois with MS and their families. The Greater Illinois Chapter commits at least 88% to funding these vital programs and services, and to funding research into the cause and cure of MS.
Because the symptoms of multiple sclerosis affect each person differently, there are 20,000 different stories to tell, and every story deserves a voice. Thank you for your support. Together we can create a world free of MS!
