Renee's Riders

Help Renee’s Riders Erase MS!

The number of people living with multiple sclerosis increases every hour of every day. This astonishing rate is not going to diminish, nor will it stop, until we've found a cure. Research has made some incredible advances recently, but the world can still only offer disease management drugs and therapies to the 400,000 people living with MS in America.

We've formed a team for Bike MS in honor of Renee DeRitis. Renee was diagnosed in November of 2007. We rode in the very next ride, September 2008. That first year, the team consisted of three people: Renee's husband, cousin and brother-in-law. Our team and our fundraising efforts have grown and we will make this, our eighth year, our BEST.

Renee’s Riders Fundraising Efforts:

    2008 = $  8,938.00

    2009 = $ 18,685.00

                                           2010 = $ 32,020.00

                                           2011 = $ 42,448.00

                                           2012 = $ 75,551.00

                                           2013 = $108,782.47

                                          2014 = $ 97,920.00

                                                    2015 = $  96,522.00

                                      TOTAL = $480,866.47

We ride because we know that riding 150 miles is nowhere near as difficult as confronting a lifetime with multiple sclerosis.  The National MS Society gives us all reason to hope, though.  In addition to supporting novel research projects around the globe, they also provide much needed education, programs and services to everyone who is affected by MS – including the diagnosed, their friends and families, and the healthcare professionals who work with them.
