Please, help me help others.
Ride past a buffalo farm, Amish country, sometimes sharing the road with horses & buggies. Scenic views, a bee farm where you can get fresh honey. Make some new friends. See the state from a bike instead of a car. The entire time raising money for a great cause. If you need a little inspiration talk to someone who has MS. Sometimes it is a chore to get out of bed. Pain & joint stiffness, severe sensitivity to heat, all parts of MS. This year I plan on being ready & in better shape than last year. Planning on riding century on day 1.
My previous MS rides.
I Enjoy riding, but MS rides give it a meaning. I have ridden in nice weather, extreme heat, and a miserable rain for MS. I was ready to quit in a rainstorm. I was pulling into a parking lot where I saw MS vehicles parked to quit and ride in a van. There were 2 women there, sitting in wheelchairs in the storm cheering riders on, saying thanks for riding for me. I could not quit. 2010 will be my 10th MS ride. To date I have ridden 1390 miles for MS, in 2001 & 2004 I completed the century option on day 1. Put your name in my Honor Roll. All donations are tax deductable & I will get you a reciept if you ask.
Why You Should Sponsor Me
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from the Escape to the Lake (Erie) MS Bike Tour to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we can fight this disease by simply riding a bike, because we have chosen to help thousands of people through a contribution to the MS Bike Tour, we are now getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS." Lets pitch in to help all else who suffer from the effects of MS daily.
