At this time, the BP MS 150 continues as scheduled this weekend. Please be advised there is the potential for inclement weather in La Grange overnight that could impact participants who are camping. At this time, we are monitoring the weather forecast and are preparing for the possibility of thunderstorms Saturday evening and into early Sunday that could include high winds, heavy rainfall and lightning. For safety purposes, individual tent camping is discouraged overnight. Should we incur severe weather, the City of La Grange Police and Emergency Management will alert everyone staying at the Fayette County Fairgrounds and Camp St. Marks (in personal and team tents) and direct individuals to identified shelter locations. Visit http://bit.ly/2oQZPaT for details and plans. Each participant’s safety is his or her personal responsibility, and each participant must individually as a rider determine if he or she is prepared, possesses the abilities to ride in inclement weather, winds and temperatures and is willing to assume risks. We know you have planned for this event and invested a lot into the weekend through training and fundraising efforts, and we appreciate all of your efforts. Let’s not let the Texas weather get in the way of why we ride to cross the ultimate finish line of ending MS forever!
