After serious consideration and evaluation, Bike MS organizers have made the difficult decision to cancel Bike MS: Dat’s How We Roll 2017 due to weather conditions associated with Tropical Storm Nate. The safety of everyone the MS community, cyclists, volunteers, supporters and staff is our primary concern. It is important that we allow the communities to adequately prepare, and for residents to make the necessary preparations to keep themselves and their families safe during the storm.
We share your disappointment of not being able to join together this weekend, and we appreciate your support and understanding. We know you have many questions, and want to know of other opportunities to experience Bike MS. Please visit the FAQ page on the event website, or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 855-372-1331(M-F, 8am-6pm CST).
The weather, like MS, can be unpredictable, but we won’t let it stop us from reaching the ultimate finish line of creating a world free of MS together!
The National MS Society is here to support people affected by MS through crises. Please visit our website for a comprehensive list of resources as well as connection to other helpful agencies. Our team of MS Navigators is available between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. CDT (Monday Friday) and can connect you to the resources and information to address critical needs before, during and after Tropical Storm Nate such as emergency shelters, temporary living assistance, medical equipment, medications, emotional support and other necessities. Connect with an MS Navigator at 1-800-344-4867 or email@example.com.
Please note: The official Bike MS: Dat’s How We Roll route on Saturday (Oct. 7) from Hammond to McComb and Sunday (Oct. 8) from McComb to Hammond will be closed and all standard support services— rider support, transportation and breakpoints — along the route will not be available. For your own safety, Bike MS: Dat’s How We Roll registered riders are strongly encouraged not to ride the route this weekend. If cyclists choose to ride, they are doing so at their own risk.
