My friend and co-worker Misty was diagnosed with MS.  Her attitude is that she has MS, but MS doesn't have her.  She is one of the hardest working and intelligent radio account executives I have ever known.

Misty has a husband, a great guy and our former Team Captain Robb.  They have the most ADORABLE and bright daughter, Marianna, who must have sensed that I have been an uncle 12 times over.  The first thing Marianna ever asked me to do was read her a story and play with her--knowing I couldn't say no.  That really brought back a lot of memories of family holidays with my neices and nephews when they were little

I think about what a wonderful family they are with a such bright future...and then came MS.  It broke my heart.

So let's break MS.

Please donate, or join us on the Seward Highway as we ride to raise money to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.  Bike MS needs more solo riders, more teams, and more contributions.  Please help make a difference in the lives of more than 1000 Alaskans living with MS, and in the lives of the people who love them.

Please give whatever you can, and then share this page with your friends via email, Facebook, Twitter, and even linking it to your webpage.  Your help in spreading the word is greatly appreciated.

Why "Team I.T.Y.?"

We started out as Team Venture.  Former Team Captain Robb Nesvick's wife is my friend and co-worker, Misty.  Misty has MS.  We want her to NOT have MS.  Misty without MS is I.T.Y..  It's as simple as that.  We came up with the idea while aching, exhausted, and maybe delerious...on the last leg of our first Bike MS 150 miles.

With your support, I hope to see a brighter future for Misty and her beautiful family, and for many other families, without the shadow of MS.

Thanks!!  --Brian Ross, Magic 98.9

What is MS?

Having multiple sclerosis means that you may suddenly have blurry
vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. Or
that you may not always be able to walk, let alone ride a bike. The
symptoms of MS are different for everyone - the only certainty is that
it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.

Why You Should Sponsor Me

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from
the Bike MS Ride to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but
also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with
MS today. Because we can fight this disease by simply riding a bike,
because we have chosen to help thousands of people through a
contribution to the Bike MS Ride, we are now getting closer to the hour
when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."
