Wisconsin, Pewaukee - Bike MS 2014: TOYOTA Best Dam Bike Ride
Let me start by saying THANK YOU for taking
time to check out my fundraising site!!!
A little about me....
This will be the fourth year I will be riding the MS 150. With the support and encouragement of family and friends I completed the MS 150 the first year and rode 100 miles both days my second and third years. The past three rides I was on a tandem with my husband, Corey. As a new challenge we might bike solo this year. However, it is dependent on my training for my first marathon in October...I need to keep things in perspective...at least that's what I have been told by the caring people in my life...
I was diagnosed with MS in 1998 and over the years I have grown to appreciate and understand the blessing of this WONDERFUL gift I was given. Since my diagnosis I have learned so many things...I have learned to slow down, appreciate and enjoy all of the little things in life, and also take more time to enjoy my family and friends...but, the main things I have learned is I have realized the courage, strength, and determination I have...especially during the times...when I get out of bed even when it is REALLY painful...when I pushed myself to take one more step to start walking again after I have needed to use a wheelchair to get around...and having the patience to wait for my vision to return when I have been unable to see...
Why Do I Ride???
1st Because I can
2nd To help all of those who can't ride
3rd to celebrate all things possible when having MS
It is truly amazing to me each year as I watch all of those affected by MS participating in the MS bike either by riding, volunteering, or cheering everyone on during the ride...
It would be AWESOME to have you join me and
The Flying Monkeys in making a world free of MS
by donating, riding, or better yet...BOTH!!!
LUV U LOTS!!!
