ATO Walks Hard: Many Steps for MS
It all started with a phone call. The topic? What could the members of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at Grand Valley State University do to better the world around them? The answer, ATO Walks Hard: Many Steps for MS.
20 men will be walking 160 miles from Allendale, Michigan (GVSU Campus) to Traverse City, Michigan. We will be leaving February 27th and arrive on March 6th. All members will be giving up their spring breaks for this journey. The majority of the journey will be traveled on the White Pine Trail and we will be sleeping in churches along the way.
We have developed a training regiment for walkers, created press releases, a business plan, brochure, equipment list, t-shirts, banners, promotion strategies, flyer's using all the assets in our chapters disposal. We have put our hearts and our souls into this event.

What is MS?
Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. Today, new treatments and advances in research are giving new hope to people affected by the disease; however there is currently NO CURE.
JOIN THE FIGHT. END MS.
