What is the Transrockies Run?
This year from August 23-28, up to 150 teams of two will take on the Colorado Rockies for a running experience like no other. During the six days of the GORE-TEX™ TransRockies Run, runners from all over the world will run, eat and live together as they cover 113 miles of spectacular scenery, all at an oxygen deprived 8,000 - 13,000 ft. elevation. The GORE-TEX™ TransRockies Run course runs from Buena Vista to Beaver Creek, through the heart of the White River and San Isabel National Forests. The course includes a mix of singletrack and forest road with nearly 25,000 feet of elevation gain.

Lynn,
We've not met. I read the story on the cec and made a donation in honor of your amazing upcoming event and very worthy cause. I lived in CO for years and spent lots of time running those trails outside of BV in the collegiate peaks, holy cross wilderness outside of Vail. It is wonderful terrain. I wish you the best on your endeavor!
Regards,
Greg

Hi Lynn. I'm in the HR Connection and about 3 wks ago you had called into my dept. inquiring about the IGive program. That's when you and I briefly discussed your event and I had told you about me doing the MS150 in September. I'm all set to cycle 150 miles and will continue to do so every year until a cure is found for Multiple Sclerosis. As you know I do the MS150 to honor my mom's memory who died from the complications of MS and she was only in her 50's. I read the article about you on the CEC homepage and I wanted wish you well and much success on your event. What you are doing for your younger sister is very admirable. Best Wishes and Success to you!!

Lynn,
Way to go!!!! This caught my insterest because almost a year after being diagnosed with MS back in March of 2008, I started getting interested in running. Did my first 10k last April and will do my first sprint tri coming up in September. Funny what causes us to push ourselves, but either way, you taking this journey to show your support and love for your sister as well as help to find a cure for MS, helps us all. I wanted to personally thank you for that and wish you all the best on your journey!!! God Bless!

Hi Lynn,
Glad to help out and I'm looking forward to following your progress. This is an admirable goal and something I know will require a tremendous amount of training and preparation on your part.
More importantly I will cheer for your sister as she battles through her health issues. My wife and I have a couple of friends who are going through or have recently completed chemo treatments for the cancers they are fighting. Both are showing us what real adversity is, as well as how to remain strong and fight through it.
I think we all fail from time to time to remember what is really important in life, how lucky we are to have our health, our loved ones and our friends, and how much others benefit many times over from a simple helping hand we offer. Your efforts represent a recognition of these things. We applaud you for what you are doing, as well as for bringing it to the forefront of our consciousness so we can participate in this great cause.
Best of luck!

Crazy feat - Excellent cause.
The cosmic balance endures.
An oxygen-deprived, mountainous 113miles! Will start a collection now for your post-event physio .. which may need to match your own fundraising target .. and include an epidural!

It is wonderful that you are able to support your sister and your goals...and get to run through that type of scenery. Best of luck on the run! I can't imagine running at that altitude...I have done a little hiking up there and find that challenging!

I can't tell you how much it means to me to have my brother Lynn take on such a challenging, touching, and sincere venture in honor of me for the National MS Society, doing what he loves best...running. Every time you do one of these triathalons or marathons of tremendous distances I think, man, you have got to be crazy! But this time I don't want to say that! This time I want to say "Thank you" from the bottom of my heart for thinking of me, for acknowledging my struggles, and my will to keep going! So when you are slowing down on the Rockies and your mind and body are saying "can't", be safe, be smart, and KEEP GOING!! I love you, brother! Thank you so much for loving me!!
