HOLLA for Hilda

"HOLLA FOR HILDA!!" We Will Make a Difference

On Sunday, February 28, TEAM "HOLLA FOR HILDA" will climb 66 flights of stairs to the top of NYC's Rockefeller Center to help create a world free of Multiple Sclerosis.

OUR SMALL TEAM HAS RAISED OVER $30,000 FOR THE MS CLIMB TO THE TOP NYC, and has earned recognition as a top fundraising team.  THIS YEAR, WE WANT TO RAISE A MINIMUM OF $6,000. WE KNOW YOU CAN HELP US DO IT!!!

We climb for our late mother/grandmother/cousin, Hilda, who lived with MS for over 50 years, and on behalf of the people who adored her.  Her husband, Billy, was her forever partner in her journey with MS.  They traveled internationally, visited with friends, went to Mets games, and for decades inspired those around them.  Hilda passed away in 2001, at the age of 85.  That she lived into her eighties with MS was quite a miracle...

"HOLLA FOR HILDA" WAS BORN IN 2010 AND CONTINUES TO CLIMB ON BEHALF OF HILDA TREISTER SPINGARN AND OTHERS WORLDWIDE WHO LIVE WITH MS.  TEAM MEMBERS RANGE IN AGE FROM 11 TO 71 YEARS OLD.

Our legs carried Hilda and us during previous climbs.  And now, for her and with her, we will climb these 66 flights of stairs again, SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH OTHER PARTICIPANTS WHO THEMSELVES HAVE MS AND STRUGGLE WITH EACH STEP TO THE TOP.  THE INSIPRATION AND HUMAN TRIUMPH OF WILL AND SPIRIT IS OVERWHELMING.

WE KNOW THAT WE CAN ALL JOIN TO MAKE MS A THING OF THE PAST.

From us, and on behalf of our beloved, Hilda, we thank you so very much for your support.

Multiple Sclerosis affects people in the prime of their lives, between the ages of 20 and 50. Every hour someone is newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. More than 2.5 million people worldwide live with this unpredictable disease. The symptoms of MS are different for everyone - the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.

Currently there is no cure for MS. The money that is raised will be used to find the cause, treatment, and ultimately the cure of multiple sclerosis. The money is also used to provide education, information, direct financial support, and scholarships to individuals and families living with MS.

Please join me in the movement to do something about multiple sclerosis now!
