Hello and Welcome to my Personal Page!

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2000 and began treatment 5 years into living with the disease trying two different medications.  In 2009, after a difficult few years with relapses and symptoms, tired, yet still hopeful I would find the right fit for my system to slow progression and help manage symptoms, I decided to participate in a clinical trail for a new drug therapy.  This treatment has provided me with both, although not without it's challenges.  I share this part of my story with you to highlight the importance of research for new drug therapies for the treatment of MS with the goal of moving towards the day we will find a cure.  MS is unpredictable and how it affects a person is as unique as each individual. This is no one size fits all disease.  I want every person affected to find the right fit.  Another important reason to support this cause is The National MS Society is a source of support for those living with the disease and their families and loved ones, from providing resources to having the opportunity to be part of an energetic and hopeful community determined to eradicate the disease.  I’ve participated in the walk for the last 7 years along with family and friends, their continued support help keep me strong and I am grateful.  It has been an amazing experience to be part of this movement. I am inspired by the strength, courage and perseverence of those living with the disease.  I live by our mantra...I have MS, but MS doesn't have me!  So please join me in this fight by making a donation. No amount is too big or small.  Finally, I would love to have you come hang out with us on April 6th ~ it’s always fun :).  Just click on "join Jennifer's team," and we'll see you at the Rose Bowl!

With love, gratitude and hope,

Why We Fight MS

Having multiple sclerosis means that you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are different, and devastating, for everyone - the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.

Why I Walk

I've registered for the MS Walk because I want to do something for the people like myself who have been diagnosed - and because I want to do everything to prevent more people from learning what it means to live with this disease. Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with a diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability.

Why You Should Sponsor Me

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from the MS Walk to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we choose to walk for those who sometimes can't, because we choose to donate to the MS Walk, we are getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."
