Big D's Team Page Run by Lauren, Desiree's Sister
We are here for the same reason as everyone else, to raise money, bring awareness and most importantly support those who are impacted by MS.
I'm sure you have heard or read Desiree's life changing story by now. If not, please make your way over to her personal page... I promise you wont regret it.(TeamBigD) She will have you laughing (that blowing air out of your nose while smiling laugh) throughout her story. However, what she doesn't talk about is all the things that make up who she is. We have taken it upon ourselves to share with you a little piece of who Desiree is.
"Desiree is the best friend that any one could ask for she has also been the most amazing sister. We have a bond that compares to no other. We gossip like best friends, fight like the world was ending, laugh until we cry, and love like no one else matters. It is almost annoying how much I look up to my little sister. She has defied the odds and ensured that difficult times have not defined her. She works for everything she has and is determined to make it on her own. She has a huge heart, making sure that she makes time for everyone in her life even if she doesn't have time for herself. She makes every day one worth living and talking about her positive attitude is one that will put a smile on anyone's face. Love you, Little Sis"-Lauren
"I'm sure that by now you fully understand that Desiree is an incredibly driven young woman with a big heart. She is also one of the funniest people that you will ever meet, and can turn the most boring story into the most elaborate tale that will have you laughing so hard that you aren't making any noise. You're just flailing around trying to catch your breath. There aren't enough words in the dictionary for me to describe how much I look up to Desiree and her ability to turn the worst situations into positive experiences. I can't wait to see everything that you will accomplish in future Desiree!" - Sandra
"I was in the hospital the day Desiree was diagnosed with MS. It was heartbreaking to see a loved one in that much pain. However, Desiree is very driven and one of the strongest people I know. Prior to her diagnosis Desiree seemed to make time for everything including three jobs, grad school, friends and family. Not much has changed since receiving the news. I can't imagine life without you and am proud of your accompishments despite all that has happened in the past year. I want to live my life with as much love, strength and positivity as you do everyday!" -Kelsey
Desiree, like others, did not see this diagnosis coming. But it certainly made its presence known. Donations help with research and services for those diagnosed with MS.
Every step counts. Every dollar helps. Every connection matters.
