About the Walk
Walk MS, hosted by the Colorado-Wyoming Chapter of the National MS Society, is a simple but incredibly powerful way to raise money to support the essential programs, services, and research funding the chapter provides.

Walk Day brings friends, families, and coworkers together for an important cause. We walk together to make a powerful statement - each step we take brings us closer to a world free of MS.

Why I Participate
I am asking you to support me in Walk MS because this cause is meaningful to me. This year I will celebrate my 20th year at the National M.S. Society.  I've met so many wonderful people living with this awful disease and I want to do as much as I can every day to help them live their best lives as we work to create a world free of MS.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease that affects the central nervous system by disrupting the flow of information from the brain to the body.

This means that you may not be able to walk when you wake up or that you suddenly may not be able to see out of one or both eyes. Or that your memory may fail you for no apparent reason. There is no known cause and no known cure. The only certainty is that every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with MS.

Let's Move Forward Together
Currently there is no cure for MS. The money that is raised at Walk MS will be used to find the cause, treatment, and ultimately the cure for multiple sclerosis. The money is also used to provide education, information, direct financial aid, and scholarships to individuals and families living with MS. By sponsoring me, you too will make a difference in the lives of people living with MS.

About the National MS Society
The Society helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.

  • We are moving research forward by relentlessly pursuing prevention, treatment and cure.
  • We are moving to reach out and respond to individuals, families and communities living with multiple sclerosis.
  • We are moving politicians and legislation to champion the needs of people with MS through activism, advocacy and influence.
  • We are moving to mobilize the millions of people who want to do something about MS now.
