They are why I walk!

Why I Fight MS

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November of 2002. My major symptoms had only been fatigue and this strange electrical shock sensation when I would bend my neck forward.
I was shocked to know I had MS. My daughter was 2 at the time. I now have two beautiful children ages 8 and 4 and they keep me going. They're also why I walk and keep moving!

Why I Walk

I walk so that my children never have to worry about this disease. I walk to make a difference! I walk to keep MOVING!!!

The money you donate goes to the National MS Society who use it for research for new medications as well as that ever hopeful cure. But it also goes to provide programs for people living with MS like myself.

I truly believe that the National MS Society keeps people with MS hopeful. They are there for the newly diagnosed. As I've said recently, they state that someone is diagnosed with MS every hour of every day. I recall the hour I found out and how lonely and lost I felt. I was able to get answers, information and support through the National MS Society.

My Goals for the Walk and Why I hope you Join the Movement

Though my biggest goal is for a cure so that my kids don't get this horrible decease. My other big goal, sans a cure, is for an oral medication so I don't have to take my injections anymore. Believe me - the skin on my thighs, arms, hips and stomach will never be the same. You think cellulite is ugly, you've never seen it with indentations from daily injections.

Besides those two goals - my other big goal is for all those being diagnosed every hour of every day have a place to go for answers and programs that help them to remain positive and hopeful!

I do believe we can get there with your help!!
