Walk MS: Aiken is a day that brings friends, families, and coworkers together to embrace an important cause! The Aiken Area Myelinators team is back this year, part of a great event on April 1, 2017 to help the National MS Society fund research, advocate for change, and help people with MS live their best lives.
Please support us! Together we can make a powerful statement and keep moving toward a cure for multiple sclerosis. Each step makes a difference. Bring your walker, cane, wheelchair or whatever you need, but join us, won't you?
Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms. Multiple sclerosis interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body and it stops people from moving. Every hour in the United States, someone is newly diagnosed with MS, a disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. More children and youth are being diagnosed with it. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
Join our team!
It's a way to provide funds for local programs and cutting-edge research. We on the Aiken Area Myelinators team can work with the National MS Society to STOP MS in its tracks, RESTORE lost function and END MS forever. Remember: every step counts; every dollar helps, every connection matters! Won't you help?
