Your extraordinary Bike MS experience includes fantastic support. While you ride, you should only be concerned about two things: riding safely and having fun! We take care of all the rest.

Here are just a few of the volunteer groups you can count on during event weekend:

Marking the Route: Serve as friendly reminders, indicate warning or FYIs, and provide additional direction where needed.

Rest Stop Support: Rest stops approximately every 10 to 15 miles featuring:

  • Fun festivities and smiling faces
  • Pass out drinks, snacks and lunch at the rest stop to the Cyclists!
  • First aid stations
  • Mechanical support from local bike shops.

SAG Support: Just can’t push another pedal, or just need a ride to the next stop? These vehicles rove the route and rest stops. Flip your bike upside down and look for the first SAG vehicle or Motorcycle Supprt to come your way.

Personal SAG vehicles are not permitted on the route. Please understand our need to cut down on vehicular traffic for YOUR SAFETY.

Motorcycle Support: Motorcycle Volunteers are a vital part of the Bike MS Ride. We utilized the increased mobility of motorcycle riders to supply support at major traffic intersections. Bike MS Motorcycle Volunteers offer assistance at road intersections, monitor traffic and increase the overall safety at the Bike MS Ride. Motorcyclists are accustomed to the dangers cyclist face while riding and that is why we value Motorcycle Volunteers.

Mechanical Support: Sponsoring bike shops will provide minor repairs on the road and at rest stops on the Ride. If you encounter a mechanical problem while riding and need assistance, move completely off to the side of the road and turn your bike upside down.

Medical Support: In the event of a medical emergency, dial 911. Identify yourself as a Bike MS cyclists and provide the nearest mile marker. Emergency medical support travels the entire route in the event that a cyclist may be injured. Help us provide top-notch first aid by completing the back of your rider number. First aid stations will also be available.

Police and Communities Who Welcome Us: Every effort is made keep you safe. Be courteous, as they help you travel safely through their communities.
