Although I don't know anyone with MS, I just want to help out those who do have this terrible disease a little bit. I am huge fan of David, and he's had such a positive impact on me. Hope this helps, and may everyone with MS, especially Brett, remain strong in their fight against this disease.
P.S. Still on cloud nine from meeting David in Newark, NJ weeks ago.

About 5 yrs ago I was at a youth soccer game. One of my son's classmate's arrived helping his mother in a wheelchair. I hadnt even known that she was sick. I sat with her and she tearfully explained that she was (not so long ago) diagnosed with MS, and that it seemed to be progressing quickly at that point. She shared that they were debating moving because our MN climate was harsh in the winter, plus they didn't have relatives in the area for help and support. They moved the following fall. The children were sad to leave, but realized it was the best decision for their family. I remember asking her if there was anything I could do for her. She told me I could pray, and support research towards finding a cure.
When I came to know about Brett and his story, I was once again reminded that when your'e not in close proximity to someone to offer your (physical) help, then offering "prayers and pennies" or dollars, can be the best thing you can do!!
Thank you for your hard work and continued efforts in getting the word "out" and "donations in" to help combat this disease!!!!

Following David's career is such a joyous ride. Learning to care about others thru David's example is life-changing. So many of us (including me) have had a desire to be of service, but have never really known how to go about it. Because of David, and all of you, I/we now have the outlets available to help. Thank you.

As a nurse for over 18 years I have taken care of many patients with MS. I remember when I first started in nursing seeing patients who had MS and how debilitating this disease was. I would say to my husband, "This is not a disease I would wish on my worst enemy!" Over the years I have known people personally who have battled MS. I have seen great strides in the battle against MS. Years ago, this diagnosis was almost surely a slow death sentence...but not anymore, thanks to the charities that fund the research that work on a cure for this! I now see many more people who are living a somewhat normal life with MS as compared to years ago. The new medicines that are now available through research are making a huge impact on slowing the progression of MS. I am more than thrilled to make a donation because I truly believe that it is making a difference in the lives of MS patients EVERY DAY! Thank you for this opportunity :)

I am honored to have the chance to support David and the MS Society. I've never met Brett or his family, but after watching recent videos of Brett and his lovely wife Cindy, I remember being incredibly impressed with their upbeat spirit and "salt of the earth" personalities. We applaud you Brett with your "never give up" fighting spirit. One thing that I'll never forget in hearing one particular story about your fight with MS was the day you were sick in bed and having just an awful day, and David was visiting one of your children that day and just "hanging out" in the other room. David started singing and you were overcome with emotion at hearing him and started feeling better after being filled with a spirit you couldn't describe. Your story touched my heart deeply, just as so many others relating to David have done over this last year. We are all blessed to have come to know David. God Bless you Brett; our prayers continue to be with you.

My father died of MS - and even though, at the end, we knew his death was inevitable, his loss was devastating!
I have been ill for the past two years. I lost interest in just about everything - reading, quilting, scrapbooking, and MUSIC - my most FAVORITE thing. I resigned as the Music Director and Choir Director of our Church. Then David came into my life, and along with him came INSPIRATION. His songs have touched my heart. He brought MUSIC back into my HEART. His music is now my treasure! I have gone back to Church, and while I am not yet strong enough to assume my leadership role in the Music Ministry, I currently lead the alto section in the church choir at one of the Masses. My heart is filled with gladness and a sense of accomplishment. Although I am in a wheelchair, getting up each day and working through the pain just so I can function is no longer impossible for me. I know too, that even from a wheelchair, I can help make this world a better place.
I make donations to all of David's charities and will continue to do so. Thank you so much David for all that you have done! Mahalo Nui Loa! Hope I can see you in concert some day! I wish you were reachable!
Do you know how much we love you?

David is an inspiration to all of us. He makes us see how blessed we all are. My cousin died of MS at 43 yrs of age. He left four children, one of who never got a chance to know her father. He was a loving person and good father. His sister also had MS but hung on until her death at 54 yrs of age. Our family will always support, when we can, research and assistance to those with MS. Thank you David for reminding us and encouraging all of us to give of ourselves. We will always love you for not only your beautiful voice but your kindness and inspiration.

I have been so proud to call myself one of David's many biggest fans since AI Season 7 began. I knew from the beginning that David's spirit would inspire many... and I was right! It is because of his spirit that his fans will continue to give of ourselves. David... whether we are requesting your songs, buying your cd's, or giving in your name... we will continue to support you in any way we can. Continued Success! Mom(Julee)... you inspire me!

Thank you Julee and everyone else involved with this project! It's lovely to see so many wonderful people coming together to help out with such a worthy cause. I've had two people close to me deal with MS and I have seen first hand what a struggle every day can be during the difficult times. I hope that this will help us get one step closer to a cure.
I've only gotten to meet Brett a couple of times but I was immediately struck by his friendliness and positive personality and I wish him and his family all the best. I will always be grateful to David for bringing so many amazing people into my life!

David continues to inspire us not only with his music, but with his kind and generous spirit. I met Brett in Tulsa, and his happy, positive outlook lit up the room and made everyone smile! I cannot begin to imagine the long journey ahead for Brett and his family, but I know, without a doubt, that our FOD Family will be there supporting them every step of the way!
David - your light shines bright in this often dark and weary world. You continually remind us that we all have the power to make this world a better place!

David:
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your support of this disease. Thanks too for making the video. You are one of a kind with such a great spirit. Love your voice; you now have become my favorite singer. Brett must be very proud to have a friend like you. I also have MS; each day is different as Brett well knows. With God's help I can make it through each day. Thanks again. Hope I get to see you in concert someday.
Love you and God Bless you David

It's been said many times (because it's true...) David attracts the kindest people, including Brett Ha.es and also David's fans, many of whom contribute to the causes David is most concerned about.
Making a difference, one song, one connection at a time.
