Massachusetts, Natick - Walk MS: MS Journey of Hope 2014
Partners Pediatric MS Center
We've formed a team from the Partners Pediatric MS Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital to walk for children and teens with MS and related demyelinating disorders.
Pediatric MS is rare, but has a major impact on diagnosed children and their families. Our youngest patient was diagnosed at 3 years of age. There is limited information about pediatric MS, however thanks to the efforts of the National MS Society, there are specialized pediatric MS Centers like ours across the country which help kids and their families deal with this diagnosis and all the challenges that come with it. We care for kids for MS, provide educational materials for families and are a leader in pediatric MS research. Funds raised through the Journey of Hope Walk help to fund travel for children and their families to visit our Center, assist with medical care and provide care aids such as cooling vests so that kids can do all the things a kid needs to do!
Walk MS is a day that brings friends, families, and coworkers together to embrace an important cause. Join us and participate together to make a powerful statement and a real difference for those you care about. Each step we take brings us closer to a world free of MS.
